Established in 2003, Friendship House Community Resource Center integrates the vision and energy of Allegany County’s human service agencies, government agencies, academic arena, mental health providers and healthcare services to create a “one-stop” location for individuals to increase their awareness and access to assistance and programs.
Mission Statement:
Friendship House is committed to provide the most comprehensive, confidential assistance possible in one central location to better serve area residents without discrimination or bias.
Vision Statement:
To coordinate a one-stop, community-based resource center with the goal of establishing cross-system collaborations to improve access to priority services, broaden networking opportunities, increase inter-agency referrals, expand opportunities for funding, and enhance case management services.

On-Site Services:
Friendship House collaborates with Human Service Agencies in order to provide on-site programs that include, but are not limited to:
- Nutrition Education Services
- Budgeting and Financial Planning
- Employment and Training
- Adult, Family and Youth Counseling
- Community Health Services
- Education / Counseling for Individuals and Families affected by physical, developmental, or mental disabilities
- Adult Continuing Education including Adult Literacy, GED instruction, and post-secondary education and counseling
- Substance Abuse Counseling: Individual/Group
- Facilitated Enrollment through Family Health Plus and Child Health Plus
- Child and Parent Education and Visitation Programs
- Life Skills
- Educational and Employment Resource Center
- Grocery Savings Coupon Exchange
- On-Site Public Access Library of FREE reading materials
- On-Site Public Access Computer lab
Friendship House is available to partners and includes:
- Utilization of our site for meetings and program delivery
- Interagency referrals
- Participation in community events and programs
- Participation in collaborative efforts to better meet the needs of those we serve
- Increased outreach and promotion of agencies services
- Monthly Friendship House Newsletter
- Marketing support for all on-site programs
Increased knowledge of area programs and events, and access to data facilitating access to additional funding opportunities.

Information and referral services available to all - Services based on organizational / program eligibility

Including but not limited to:
- Allegany, Cattaraugus
- Western Steuben Counties
Site Information: Walk-in, telephone, and electronic assistance available.
Fees: All Friendship House services are free of charge - Organizational program fees minimal or free
